The Apple iPhone™ is a cell phone with massively enhanced capabilities. There are many occasions where the recent "live" data associated with the device's interaction with the cellular network is the focus of an investigation. Likewise other types of live data may be of interest in order to triage a device or confirm the presence or not of specific content.

To speed up the examination time and simplify the data sets reported the "Logical" download option allows the investigator to select from the data sets below and acquire only those.

In most cases iXAM™ can recover the following information where available:

The term "Logical" is used as this type of acquisition mimics current capabilities of many cell phone forensic packages.

Note: the data is still acquired as a physical memory read following the same exacting forensic standards as full file system data read.
